BRF Hosts Sendoff Event for US U23 Team

On Sunday, July 10th the Boston Rowing Federation (BRF) hosted a BBQ for the Men’s 8+, 4+ and Women’s LW2- crews who were training in Boston for the upcoming U-23 Worlds in Varese.

Enjoying a beautiful Sunday ‘day off’ on porch of Cambridge Boat Club, it gave our Boston HPC a chance to thank them and their coaches, Jesse Foglia and Pat LaPage, for their commitment and offer well wishes for their upcoming competition.

Joining them was BRF and Tokyo athlete, Ali Rusher. Her BRF teammates MJ Nabel, Emily Kallfelz, Maggie Fellows and Cic Madden were away qualifying for the World Championships in September and training in their National team boats.

This opportunity offers a chance to recognize and appreciate the time commitment and dedication these athletes contribute to our National Teams. And it allows the BRF to communicate our Boston program and support for them should they continue their interests in competing at International levels and possbily representing the US on the National team for the Paris and LA Olympics.
