Support

Boston-based Olympic and Paralympic rowing aspirants are primarily funded by individuals like you.  During most of the quadrennial they received relatively little support from US Rowing or the National Rowing Foundation which are focused on the larger boats coming out of the National Training Center in Princeton. While athletes may receive a small stipend from the USOC, it’s usually not enough to even cover rent, never mind food, travel and training expenses.

Contributions are 100% tax deductible and are being managed for BRF by its fiscal agent, Community Rowing Inc.

BRF’s broader year-round mission includes not just fundraising, but also finding jobs, housing and training resources for Olympic and Paralympic class athletes, enabling bona fide medal contenders to continue training over several Olympic cycles, like their international competitors.

Emily Kallfelz who raced in the women’s four at the Paris Olympics, writes “As a U23 athlete striving for a spot on the senior team, BRF gave me the opportunity to train alongside top competitors, attend key training and selection camps, and launch my professional career alongside my athletic one —paving the way to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.”
